✓ Free personal & educational licence
Downloading, printing and using any design for your own projects, your children's projects, or in a school, college or university — free, forever, no account, no attribution required. That covers the overwhelming majority of people who use this site, and nothing on this page changes it.
When you need a commercial licence
The line is simple: are you selling the thing you made? If you paint a stencil onto a sign and hang it in your hallway, that's personal use and it's free. If you paint the same sign and sell it at a craft fair, that's commercial and it needs a licence.
People who typically need one: market and craft-fair sellers, Etsy and Folksy shops, small sign-making businesses, bakers decorating cakes to sell, furniture upcyclers, and anyone doing paid workshops using the designs.

What every commercial licence allows
| Activity | Free licence | Commercial licence |
|---|---|---|
| Print and use for your own projects | Yes | Yes |
| Classroom and educational use | Yes | Yes |
| Cut on a Cricut or Silhouette | Yes | Yes |
| Sell finished physical items you've made | No | Unlimited |
| Sell at markets, Etsy, your own shop | No | Yes |
| Use in paid workshops you run | No | Yes |
| Resell or share the digital files | No | No |
| Sell the designs as clipart or in a bundle | No | No |
The one thing no licence covers is passing the files themselves on — reselling them, sharing them, or folding them into another design pack. The licence is for making things, not redistributing artwork. Everything else, sell freely and keep every penny.

Common questions
Do I need a licence to sell things I make?
Yes, if you're selling the finished items. Personal and educational use stays free forever. Commercial licences start at £6.
Is there a limit on how many items I can sell?
None. Every commercial licence covers unlimited products, permanently. No per-item royalty, no annual renewal, no reporting.
Can I resell the stencil files themselves?
No — not under any tier. The licence covers making and selling physical items, not redistributing the artwork.
What if I only need one design?
The £6 single-design licence covers exactly that: one design, unlimited products, forever. Most market sellers start here.
Do I need to credit you?
Not required, under any licence. Always appreciated if you feel like it.
What happens after I pay?
You'll receive your licence document by email, along with the files if you've bought a bundle. Any questions before you buy, just ask — we'd rather you were certain.
Attribution
Never required. If you share something you've made and want to mention where the design came from, that's genuinely appreciated and helps keep the free library growing — but it's entirely your call.
