The branch tips are the thinnest parts of the whole design — cut them last and let the blade do the work rather than forcing it. When painting, this design rewards a nearly dry brush more than any other here, because paint bleeding between branches turns the canopy into a blob. Mask the eyes and it becomes a bare winter tree for December.
