The bandage gaps are the design — keep them even and roughly parallel, and resist the urge to add more. The trailing end should stay attached to the head at one point only; that is what makes it look like it is coming loose. At small sizes drop the finest bandage lines rather than cramming them.

Why does my mummy look like a striped egg?
Usually too many bandage lines too close together. Fewer, bolder gaps read far better, especially from a distance.
What size works?
A4 for walls and doors, 40% for cards, 30% for bags. The eyes carry it at small sizes.
Can children paint this one?
Yes — it is one of the most forgiving. The bandages are wide, flat shapes with nothing fine to flood.
What colour?
Single black on white or cream card is the sharpest. Sand or beige on dark paper also works nicely.
