What can I make with this stencil?
Tips & technique
Cut the eyes and nose before the mouth, because the mouth removes the biggest span of material and weakens everything above it. If you are carving a real pumpkin, scrape the inside wall down to about 2cm first — thick walls are why teeth crumble. On paper or card, this design cuts cleanly with a fresh blade and needs no bridges beyond the ones drawn in.

Is this design meant for carving or painting?
Both. The openings are sized for a carving saw, but the same shapes paint beautifully onto artificial pumpkins, windows and bags.
How do I get it onto a round pumpkin?
Print at 100%, snip the paper edges so it lies flat against the curve, tape it down, then prick along every line with a pin. Peel the paper and join the dots.
What size should I print it?
Full A4 for a medium pumpkin or a door panel, 50% for windows and cards, 30% for tags and jars. The face stays readable small because the shapes are chunky.
Is it suitable for children?
The design is, but the cutting is not. Let children prick the outline and choose the pumpkin — the fun parts — while an adult carves.
